Children Summer Course

The 1-week courses will focus on performance training and technique for children. By practicing with music, the lessons will let them enhance their sense of rhythm, and improve their coordination and flexibility. They can also learn how to work with the team, and boost their self-confidence.

#A 20-minute Open Class & Mini Showcase will be arranged at the end of last session. Every student may invite at most 2 representatives. (Photo or video shooting will be allowed with consent from tutor and other students.)

##An attendance certificate will be awarded if the attendance rate reaches 80% or above.

Tutor

Wong Po Lui Jasmin was born in Hong Kong, and graduated at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance. Independent choreographer and dance artist.Previously a dancer for Y-Space(Hong Kong). During her time on the BFA (Hons) programme, she was awarded a Grantham scholarship and also went on an Shanghai Exchange Tour funded by Hong Kong Foundation for arts and culture. She was selected to perform in various school productions including Savage Symphony、Echoing Woods by Christine Gouzelis and Here & beneath the surface of there by John Utans. Other outside performing experiences include CCDC’s WuDaoQingNian program; Sky of Nepal Arts Project by Bobbie Chen and Hero @ Eb Major by Ong Yong Lock for LCSD Community Cultural Ambassador and Unlock Dancing Plaza.She received a CCDC scholarship to participate in the Beijing Dance Festival in 2014 and 2015, 2017. Jasmin also has an interest in choreography and her work Among Them was presented in CCDC’s My Own Dance program and the series of Are you thinking what I am thinking? was presented in HKAPA and Eside’s Imagination boom 3.

Wei Ming-PAK is an independent choreographer and performing dance artist based in Hong Kong. He graduated in 2008 from the City University of Hong Kong with a Certificate in Fitness, Health and 2013 with a BFA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

During his studies, Pak was awarded the HKSAR Government Reaching Out Scholarship Fund and was also given multiple opportunities to participate in the Guangzhou and Beijing Dance Festival through City Contemporary Dance Company’s scholarships.

He was awarded the European Organization’s full DanceWEB programme scholarship to participate in ImPulsTanz Vienna International Dance Festival 2013.Where he worked with USA base artist Trajal Harrell (RITE OF SUMMER) and Montpellier Dance Festival and Pompidou Center in France 2015 (The Ghost of Montpellier Meet the Samurai).

Pak has choreographed and produced works independently since 2009; including: One Minute Jumping Frames Dance Video Competition INNERMOST, ROBOT (Dance Video Works), LOST IN THE CITY (Site-Specific Works) which was invited to be performed at Hong Kong Arts Centre’s . TINT and INTERPRETATIONS 2 (Stage Works) which were selected by City Contemporary Dance Company to be performed at the Beijing and Guangdong Dance Festival. Pak has frequently taken part in cultural exchanges in Taiwan, Israel and France.

Started to dance since 2004; had more than 10 years of experience related to dance performance; started working as a dance tutor since 2007 in Infinity Dance Studio, one of the
biggest dance studios in HK; currently also working as a choreographer for commercial events including Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade and Adidas
Brand Day.

Hip Hop Instructor

He graduated from the Hong Kong University.
