Belly Dance Elementary
Belly Dance can express a range of feminine emotions, passion, and confidence.
This course focuses on waist and hip movements, which can help develop the strength of both abdominal and hip muscles and maintain an ideal body alignment. At the same time, it can also massage the internal organs in the pelvic cavity, which has health benefits for women. Participants will tap into their natural sense of rhythm and beauty during the lesson. This helps them release their emotions in a relaxing and natural way. Egyptian music will be utilized to familiarize students with the characteristics of Egyptian music.
Dress code: Simple and comfortable sportswear that reveals your belly and waist is preferred.
Suitable for all dance beginners and those interested in Belly Dance.

Belly Dance Intermediate

Beginner Mix Dance
The course will divides into three modules and targets for students who have no prior dancing experience.
Students will learn the basic techniques of various dance styles (Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz). It allows students’ bodies to experience a range of dance styles, with making it easier for students to select the style that best suits them.

Latin Introductory
The instructor will lead you to practice 3 different ballroom dance styles (Latin), use beautiful music to match the essentials of moving steps, and fully explore the dynamic dance rhythm.
It starts with explaining the basic principles of Latin dance. It extends the basic movements of “Cha Cha”, “Rumba” and “Jive” to combination, training basic postures and pace, experiencing dynamic balance by learning the method of dancing in duet.

Theatre Jazz Elementary

Instructors
Fonteyn graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), majoring in Contemporary Dance. Second majoring in choreography. She was also the recipient of the Contemporary Dance Faculty Scholarship 2020/2021 . She is also an experienced Latin dance teacher with full marks in The Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) and Hong Kong Dance Sport Association (HKDSA) Joint Examinations.
Classically trained as an Egyptian Oriental Dance dancer, mentored by Oriental Dance Masters like Yousry Sharif. She has travelled the world to dance, teach in workshops and attend workshops with the most respected worldwide renowned teachers including Mahmoud Reda, Aida Nour, Tito Seif, Khaled Mahmoud, Mohamed Kazafy, Mercedes Nieto, Mohamed Shahin etc.
She has brought Belly Dance as an art from foreign to HK local audience in various venues. Since the establishment of her dance academy in 2008, Maggie’s fan base has been expanding and her instruction has been sought after by those interested to learn the art.

Since 2007, Kate Tsang, who learning from Hong Kong Egyptian Oriental Dance Dancer - Maggie Wong. Start at 2014, she has been learning from the world’s masters, including Aida Nour, Tito Seif, Khaled Mahmoud, Mohamed Kazafy, Mercedes Nieto, Mohamed Shahin, Lubna Eman, Ahmed Refaat, etc.
Since 2010, she has taught Egyptian Oriental Dance in different institutions and organizations, including HKCTU, CFSC, Methodist Centre CES, and the Police Department’s Civil Service. Fortunately, she has the opportunity to participate in the individual and group performances of the Nile Group Oriental Dance.
Wei Ming-PAK is an independent choreographer and performing dance artist based in Hong Kong. He graduated in 2008 from the City University of Hong Kong with a Certificate in Fitness, Health and 2013 with a BFA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
During his studies, Pak was awarded the HKSAR Government Reaching Out Scholarship Fund and was also given multiple opportunities to participate in the Guangzhou and Beijing Dance Festival through City Contemporary Dance Company’s scholarships.
He was awarded the European Organization’s full DanceWEB programme scholarship to participate in ImPulsTanz Vienna International Dance Festival 2013.Where he worked with USA base artist Trajal Harrell (RITE OF SUMMER) and Montpellier Dance Festival and Pompidou Center in France 2015 (The Ghost of Montpellier Meet the Samurai).
Pak has choreographed and produced works independently since 2009; including: One Minute Jumping Frames Dance Video Competition INNERMOST, ROBOT (Dance Video Works), LOST IN THE CITY (Site-Specific Works) which was invited to be performed at Hong Kong Arts Centre’s . TINT and INTERPRETATIONS 2 (Stage Works) which were selected by City Contemporary Dance Company to be performed at the Beijing and Guangdong Dance Festival. Pak has frequently taken part in cultural exchanges in Taiwan, Israel and France.
Graduated from Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Musical Theatre Dance.
Tally Zhuang graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance. During her studies, she received the ‘The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships’ and collaborated with many famous choreographers, including Judith Sánchez Ruíz, Stephanie Lake, Jorge Jauregui Allue, John Utans, Anh Ngoc Nguyen and Leila McMillan. Zhuang also performed in Colossus, co-produced by Hong Kong Arts Festival and the School of Dance, HKAPA in 2022. She joined CCDC in 2023 as Dance Artist Trainee.
