Still remember the sports days from your childhood? Standing at the starting line, you are filled with anticipation, ready to sprint to the finishing line. Looking back now, you have come to realise the most valuable thing about those moments wasn’t winning the gold medal. It was the courage earned through hard work, the lessons in perseverance, and the wisdom to handle both victory and defeat with grace.
This is probably something every child naturally goes through. They pursue their dreams with all their might, yet setbacks are inevitable. Thanks to the guidance of mentors and teachers, when they feel lost, they come to understand ‘losing isn’t scary; the true reward of participating in sports lies in discovering oneself through the process and learning how to rise again after falling.’ Through hard work, every child becomes their own champion!
This summer, CCDC once again presents a dance theatre for families, inspiring boundless creativity in the art of dance while unlocking the hearts of children. CCDC’s Associate Artistic Director Dominic Wong extends an open invitation to parents, encouraging them to step into the world of athletes with their children. My Arena: Dance of Triumph is not merely a tale of competition but also a lesson in courage and life itself, guiding the audience on a journey of tenacity and growth through the power of theatre.
