This year, ‘HOTPOT East Asia Dance Platform’ is co-presented by dance festivals in Hong Kong, Seoul, and Yokohama. This year, it will be held in Busan, South Korea, as part of the 3rd Busan International Performing Arts Market (BPAM),to showcase the allure of contemporary dance from these regions to curators from around the world.
Upholding the vision of ‘HOTPOT’, CCDC continues to curate different works by emerging young choreographers, presenting a variety of creative themes and concepts while reflecting the perspective of contemporary dance in Hong Kong. We will travel to Busan to participate in this annual Asian Contemporary Dance Festival, fostering friendships through dance, exchanging new creative ideas from different regions, and promoting collaboration and exchange within Asia’s contemporary dance scene.
At Home X On the Road – Unlocking a Fresh Rhythm for Exchanges
Starting this dance season, CCDC is launching a new dance festival model, in the form of ‘At home X On the Road’, to set a fresh rhythm for the interactions and exchanges in contemporary dance across various fields and regions. ‘HOTPOT East Asia Dance Platform’ is co-hosted by ‘City Contemporary Dance Festival’ (CCDF) and the dance festivals in Seoul and Yokohama respectively. The collaborative effort acts as a bridge to connect.
