2024-25 Eastern District Cultural Festival: CCDC @ Dancing in the Eastern Coast

Contemporary Dance x East Coast Park
Exploring the City’s New Landmark Through Dance

Under the guidance of renowned choreographer Peggy Lam, a vibrant young dance team from City Contemporary Dance Company, will lead the audience on a journey through East Coast Park with contemporary dance. The dancers will move through the park’s open spaces, allowing us to witness the collision of seaside scenery and contemporary art, and to feel the emotional resonance of this beauty.

East Coast Park is a landmark waterfront leisure space in Hong Kong. Designed with the concept of “windows,” the park incorporates frames of varying sizes into its railings and installations, creating the sensation of looking through a window to admire the stunning views from different angles. The dance transforms the park into a stage for the youth, using fluid and diverse movements to highlight the park’s spatial features and guide the audience in discovering the unique charm of this urban oasis.

Let us use dance as a “window” to experience the infinite possibilities brought by East Coast Park, this new urban haven!
